Introduction
Welcome to Vacation Haven Ltd. By booking and staying at our shortlet apartments, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making payment.
Booking and Payment
- An apartment can only be reserved for 24 hrs. from time of enquiry. Payment makes valid reservation.
- All payments must be made by direct bank transfer to the company’s bank account or online on our website via Paystack.
- 60% of total rental value is required for a valid reservation. while 40% balance payment is required 24hrs before check-in date or immediately upon arrival but before check-in.
- Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
- Where the company runs a promo, terms and conditions of promo are valid for the period of the promo only.
Security Deposit
A security deposit may be required as follows and will be refunded after check-out, subject to an inspection of the apartment.
- Refundable caution deposit for accommodation ranges between 50k to N100k depending on the chosen apartment; for get-together and movie is N150k
Get Together
- Get-together of not more than 15people is allowed with a deposit of N50k for deep cleaning, and caution deposit of a minimum of 100k
- Loud Music is not allowed, either for accommodation or get-together. Caution deposit will be forfeited where this rule is flouted with a possible eviction without refund.
- DJ is not allowed
Check-In and Check-Out
- Check-in time: 2pm
- Check-out time: 12am
- Early Check-in and Late check-out may incur additional charges of N10K. per hour, or 25k flat rate (whichever option is preferred)
- Check out beyond 2pm will be taken as a full day’s rental and charged accordingly based on the above stated rates
- Where a guest fails to wait for apartment inspection upon check-out; guest stands the risk of forfeiting the whole of the security deposit,
Guest Responsibilities
- Guests must maintain the apartment in good condition and respect the property.
- Any damage caused by the guest will be charged as stated on our inventory list with damages cost.
- Smoking of marijuana or any form of illicit/ hard drugs is STRICTLY PROHIBITED on all our premises. Please be aware we have NDLEA coverage.
- Smoking of cigarette is prohibited inside our apartment except in dedicated smoking areas. (the balconies).
- Smoking inside the apartment warrants instant eviction with a fine of 100k for deep cleaning.
- Noise levels should be kept to a minimum to avoid disturbing neighbors.
- Where any guest constitutes noise pollution and disturbs the neighbours, the neighbours reserve the right to request eviction of the guest causing the nuisance.
- Where a guest is evicted due to any form of nuisance such as noise, the guest shall forfeit his/her caution deposit.
- Apartment can only be used for the purpose for which it is booked. Where an apartment is booked for accommodation and eventually used for a different purpose other than pure accommodation, the guest shall be evicted immediately without refund OR pay the extra cost for the purpose he’s using the apartment.
- No house party allowed with a DJ.
- Where the purpose of booking was given as get-together, the terms and conditions for a get-together must be followed.
- No pet allowed.
- Max 2 people per room is allowed to sleep over.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellations made 24hrs before check-in will forfeit 70% of total rental value.
- Cancellations made 48hrs before check-in will forfeit 30% of total rental value.
- Cancellation made within 3 to 13 days before check-in will forfeit 1-day rental payment.
- Cancellation made 14 days before check-in will receive full rental value paid.
- Cancellation cannot be made on the day of check-in for whatsoever reason. There shall be no refund for such cancellation. On the same note, there shall be no refunds for cancellations made after the check-in date.
Changes to booking dates or properties are subject to availability. Any request for change in apartment or date shall incur a processing fee of 10% of the rental fee to be paid at the time of confirming the requested change.
Re-allocation of an apartment
Where an apartment becomes Not-Fit for rental due to repair and maintenance issues, the guest shall be relocated to another apartment of same standard and cost for the number of days remaining out of the total duration of rent.
Where the newly allocated apartment is not acceptable by the guest, the guest is at liberty to make a free choice from the array of apartments in the company’s portfolio and shall pay the differential of any other apartment chosen by the guest where the cost is higher than the original apartment booked by guest. On the contrary where the cost of apartment chosen by guest is less than the cost of the original apartment paid for, guest shall be refunded the differential pricing of the reduced cost.
Damages
Guests shall be charged for any damage of any item provided in the apartment due to bad handling. The damage prices are determined on the basis of total replacement cost and opportunity cost of not having the items for immediate use. Guests are advised to use every facility provided with utmost care. The inventory list has the cost of each item stated as will be charged for damages.
Liability and Indemnity
- Vacation Haven Ltd is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
- Guests use the premises at their own risk. Therefore, guests are advised to keep their valued personal belonging safely.
- We reserve the right to evict any guest who violates these Terms and Conditions without a refund.
Privacy Policy
- Guest information will be kept confidential and used only for booking and customer service purposes.
- We do not share personal information with third parties unless required by law.
Amendments to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Federal Republic of Nigeria.
